How static can you be that you think it's alright not to change?
How sharp can you be 'cause you never try to dull your edge?
How insecure can you be that you never do the songs you write?
And how negative can you be that you need an optimistic bot?


Cuz when I thought it can only get better
suddenly the whole thing gets ten times bitter
But all I can do is to write songs and hope it will all change
even for a bit

Have you seen an old man in a closed down market
kicking up papers with his worn out shoes?
In his eyes you see there's no pride, in his hands held loosely by his side
Yesterday's papers telling yesterday's news

And here you are saying that you're not fine?
As if only for you the sun doesn't shine?

When I thought it can only get better
